Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Applied AI, B.S.

New York Tech's Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Applied AI, B.S. program prepares students to become founders, innovators, and entrepreneurial leaders in an increasingly complex, technology-driven global economy. The program integrates opportunity recognition, design thinking, venture creation, and core business fundamentals with the applied use of AI and emerging technologies to accelerate innovation and decision-making. Graduates are prepared to launch startups as well as to drive innovation within established organizations, family businesses, nonprofit institutions, and socially focused enterprises.

The program fosters entrepreneurial leadership, ethical decision-making, and a commitment to positive economic and social impact. Through interdisciplinary coursework and real-world projects, students develop the adaptability and forward-thinking perspective needed to succeed in dynamic and evolving careers.

Program-Level Objectives and Departmental Expectations

Upon graduation from the Bachelor of Science program, students should be able to:

  1. Apply customer discovery methods to identify unmet market needs and generate viable entrepreneurial opportunities grounded in real customer insights.
  2. Use design thinking and iterative problem-solving to develop, prototype, and refine innovative venture concepts responsive to user feedback and market trends.
  3. Strategically use technologies including a variety of AI tools to improve products, processes, business models, venture testing and growth.

Our program in Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Applied AI responds to structural shifts in the business and innovation labor market. Across industries, employers increasingly seek graduates who can combine entrepreneurial thinking, data-informed decision-making, and applied use of AI to create, test, and scale new products, services, and business models. The program also addresses a growing segment of students interested in self-employment, startup creation, and innovation roles within established organizations, career paths that are underrepresented in traditional labor market statistics but central to the modern innovation economy.

Graduates of this program are aligned with high-growth occupational categories including business and financial operations, and innovation-oriented roles such as product management, business development, and corporate entrepreneurship. These roles increasingly require graduates who can identify opportunities under uncertainty, leverage AI tools responsibly, and integrate technology into business strategy—competencies that are not systematically developed in most undergraduate business curricula.
