New York Tech's Artificial Intelligence, M.S. program is designed to prepare students for advanced professional roles in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data-driven technologies across industry, government, and research sectors. Artificial Intelligence has become a foundational technology impacting computing, engineering, healthcare, finance, transportation, and manufacturing. Regional and national workforce demand for AI professionals continues to grow rapidly, while students increasingly seek specialized, applied graduate programs that provide both technical depth and ethical grounding. Our program addresses this need through a rigorous, application-oriented curriculum that combines theory, practice, and responsible AI principles. It is offered in a flexible, asynchronous, seven-week term format to facilitate learning for working professionals.

This program will prepare graduates to:

  1. Apply foundational AI, machine learning, and deep learning principles to complex real-world problems.
  2. Design, implement, and evaluate AI systems using appropriate algorithms and tools.

Admission Requirements

  • Applicants must possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, with a GPA of 2.85 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
    • Applicants who do not qualify for full matriculation and have an undergraduate GPA between 2.5 and 2.84 may be conditionally admitted at the discretion of the program director.
    • Qualified students who do not have a sufficient background will be required to take two prerequisite courses in programming and statistics, before starting the core curriculum. They must also take a linear algebra course within six months of starting the program. Reach out to an admissions advisor for a transcript evaluation.

Application Materials

  • Completed application
  • $50 nonrefundable application fee
  • Copies of undergraduate transcripts for all schools attended. All final, official transcripts must be received prior to the start of your first semester.
  • Copy of college diploma or proof of degree
  • International student requirements: English proficiency (TOEFL/IELTS/PTE) and transcript evaluation
    • Online programs are not an approved Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP); therefore, I-20s will not be issued for online international students
    • Due to online programs not being SEVP approved, the Optional Practical Training (OPT) is not available to online international students
    • Scholarships are not available for these online programs

Transfer Credits

  • Students may transfer up to nine credits from an accredited graduate program for appropriate courses in which a minimum grade of B was earned. Please review the Graduate Credit Transfer Policy.
